The Faerie Chime
Upon the edge of forest green,
Perchance you've walked, you may have seen,
Tiny rings of cloverleaf,
And dared not wonder what's beneath.
Well I shall tell you of a tale,
That happened neath a moon so pale,
I walked along where none could see,
By Druids font, and tall oak Tree.
The gentle tinkling of a chime,
Which sounded like an Angels rhyme,
Came drifting slowly on the breeze,
That rocked the tops of tall oak Trees.And showed a Faerie dell.
Leaves of green and berries red,
They placed a ring upon my head,
Led me in merry dance.
I did not doubt, but took my chance,
Followed on this mighty throng,
Enchanted by their simple song.
The lights were bright in tiny hands,
And I was shown into their lands.
Misty curtains I did pass,
Which rose like breath above the grass,
And there she stood divine,
In mantle like the blood red wine.
Shrouded in a haze of red
A golden crown upon her head.
Between this world and theirs
Where the man and faerie dwells.
El tintineo de las Hadas
En el borde del bosque verde,
Quizás has caminado, tal vez has visto,
Pequeños anillos de trébol,
Y no te has atrevido a preguntarte qué hay debajo.
Bueno, te contaré una historia,
Que sucedió bajo una luna tan pálida,
Caminé donde nadie podía ver,
Junto al manantial de los Druidas y el alto Roble.
El suave tintineo de un tintineo,
Que sonaba como una rima de Ángeles,
Llegaba lentamente en la brisa,
Que mecía las copas de los altos Robles. Y mostraba un valle de Hadas.
Hojas verdes y bayas rojas,
Colocaron un anillo sobre mi cabeza,
Me llevaron en un baile alegre.
No dudé, tomé mi oportunidad,
Seguí a esta gran multitud,
Encantado por su canción sencilla.
Las luces eran brillantes en manos diminutas,
Y fui guiado a sus tierras.
Cortinas brumosas pasé,
Que se alzaban como aliento sobre la hierba,
Y allí ella estaba divina,
Envuelta en un manto como el vino tinto.
Envuelta en una neblina roja,
Una corona dorada sobre su cabeza.
Entre este mundo y el de ellos,
Donde el hombre y la hada habitan.
