Today I'll start a zine, my views will change the scene
Everything that I write, will surely change their minds.
First I will make them laugh, and make them want to read
My reviews are excellent, interviews are in-depth!
Pictures are glossy, and a list of shows.
Now I have to sell some ads, so I can make some cash.
Production run is now complete, first issue is out.
Now I will spread the word, to gain praise of the hard work I have done.
Copies are moving fast, issue one is sold out!
Promos are piling in, labels want to advertise
Go to shows to promote.
Everyday life is getting better, with a shot of beer.
Hanging out with the bands I love to hear.
On the phone with label reps, boy this life is the best!
Working harder, more hours everyday
Magazine is improving in every way.
Punctuation is now complete, vocabulary expanded,
They love the new me.
A few years go by, and still I write.
This magazine consumes my life.
Always looking for the next big thing.
The scene kind of suck. Life is all the same,
But still I try to satisfy the readers who subscribe!
Every hour dissipates from me.
My computer keeps freezing up!
Deadlines suck, contributors take forever,
Another metal fest, there's never anywhere to sit!
Dealing with accountants about bounced checks.
Or being bribed for a good review
If I speak my mind you won't like what I've got to say.
Same old job, same old house.

Hoy comenzaré una revista, mis opiniones cambiarán la escena
Todo lo que escriba, seguramente cambiará sus mentes.
Primero los haré reír, y haré que quieran leer
¡Mis críticas son excelentes, las entrevistas son profundas!
Las imágenes son brillantes, y una lista de espectáculos.
Ahora tengo que vender algunos anuncios, para poder ganar algo de dinero.
La tirada de producción está completa, el primer número está fuera.
Ahora difundiré la palabra, para obtener elogios por el arduo trabajo que he hecho.
¡Las copias se están agotando rápidamente, el primer número está agotado!
Las promociones se acumulan, las discográficas quieren anunciarse
Ir a espectáculos para promocionar.
La vida cotidiana está mejorando, con un trago de cerveza.
Pasando el rato con las bandas que amo escuchar.
En el teléfono con representantes de discográficas, ¡chico, esta vida es la mejor!
Trabajando más duro, más horas todos los días
La revista está mejorando en todos los aspectos.
La puntuación está completa ahora, el vocabulario se ha expandido,
Ellos aman al nuevo yo.
Pasaron unos años, y aún sigo escribiendo.
Esta revista consume mi vida.
Siempre buscando la próxima gran cosa.
La escena medio apesta. La vida es siempre igual,
Pero aún así intento satisfacer a los lectores que se suscriben!
Cada hora se disipa de mí.
¡Mi computadora sigue congelándose!
Los plazos son un fastidio, los colaboradores tardan una eternidad,
Otro festival de metal, ¡nunca hay donde sentarse!
Tratando con contadores sobre cheques rebotados.
O siendo sobornado por una buena crítica
Si digo lo que pienso, no te gustará lo que tengo que decir.
El mismo trabajo de siempre, la misma casa de siempre.
