Greater Love
Hosea looked upon his wife as she sold herself to sin.
Having left her home and husband in pursuit of certain end.
Now she'd stepped into a harlot's role to satisfy the flesh,
While Hosea watched the saddening scene, his heart filled with distress.
But although she had forsaken him, God granted him compassion.
So he bought her back, forgave her acts, a humble, loving action.
What could cause someone to offer up so great a love as this?
Only the love of God as it heals the hearts of humans, such as His.
There is a greater love, that transcends the powers of men.
There is a greater love, this world can't comprehend.
A love that completes, a love that forgives
There is a greater love, that can overcome all wrong.
There is a greater love, that's as wide as it is long.
It looks o'er the past, and reaches within,
There is a greater love than even the greatest sin.
The soldier looked at Jesus Christ as He suffered on the cross.
Having crucified the Son of God, he pondered what he saw.
Not a man whose love depended on the acts of other men,
But the one who gave His all for us despite our greatest sin.
My Jesus, I love Thee.
I know Thou art mine;
For Thee, all the follies of sin I resign;
My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus 'tis now.
Amor Mayor
Hosea observaba a su esposa mientras se entregaba al pecado.
Habiendo dejado su hogar y esposo en busca de un fin seguro.
Ahora había asumido el papel de prostituta para satisfacer la carne,
Mientras Hosea observaba la escena entristecedora, su corazón se llenaba de angustia.
Pero aunque ella lo había abandonado, Dios le otorgó compasión.
Así que la compró de vuelta, perdonó sus actos, una acción humilde y amorosa.
¿Qué podría llevar a alguien a ofrecer un amor tan grande como este?
Solo el amor de Dios mientras sana los corazones de los humanos, como el suyo.
Existe un amor mayor, que trasciende los poderes de los hombres.
Existe un amor mayor, que este mundo no puede comprender.
Un amor que completa, un amor que perdona.
Existe un amor mayor, que puede vencer todo mal.
Existe un amor mayor, tan amplio como largo.
Mira sobre el pasado y llega al interior.
Existe un amor mayor que incluso el mayor pecado.
El soldado miraba a Jesucristo mientras sufría en la cruz.
Habiendo crucificado al Hijo de Dios, reflexionaba sobre lo que veía.
No a un hombre cuyo amor dependía de los actos de otros hombres,
Sino a aquel que dio todo por nosotros a pesar de nuestro mayor pecado.
Mi Jesús, Te amo.
Sé que Tú eres mío;
Por Ti, renuncio a todas las locuras del pecado;
Mi amable Redentor, mi Salvador eres Tú;
Si alguna vez Te amé, mi Jesús, es ahora.
