I remember back in '65 when me and little Julie were friends
She was a cost clerk at the Highland's Garage, I got to see her nearly every weekend
I thought I'd cracked it after just a few weeks, another night and she'd come across
I got the elbow the very next night - she was putting it out for her boss
I never knew the girl could be so nasty and so cruel

I had some good times in late '68 with young Mandy (she's a visual treat)
So tall and slender with the grace of a dove, I remember she had great big feet
It didn't matter, she was crazy 'bout me, made me feel like some big shot film star
I got the bullets 'cos I didn't have wheels - she had fallen for an E-Type sports car
I never knew the girl could be so nasty and so cruel

Summer romances, cool heady days, I took my chances, I had my ways
Hot summer places, moving around, sweet summer faces there to be found ...
Then in the summer of '72 I met a little beauty called Anne
She was a stunner, an icy cool blonde, so I took her down my mum's caravan
We spent the evening at a place quite nearby, I was busy pouring gin down her throat
I got her back to the van in the dark, but she passed out 'fore I took off her coat

Era impresionante, una rubia fría y elegante, así que la llevé al caravana de mi mamá
Pasamos la noche en un lugar cercano, yo estaba ocupado echándole ginebra por la garganta
La llevé de vuelta a la caravana en la oscuridad, pero se desmayó antes de que le quitara el abrigo
