Tearing Up Zoo
Through the turnstile, concrete jungle, sterile habitat of iron.
Symbol of brutality like supermarkets, missile silos.
Man puts up more barriers, creates his world, denies another.
Animal, unwilling captive, mirrors how the captors live.
Prisoner, imprisoner, it's only the cage sides makes us different.

'Man's genius is a mind with which to reason, and he has the power to draw out the full potential of specific elements. When you consider the many millions of animals upon the earth at any time, the priviledge of human company is enjoyed by very, very few of them. One place where wild animals meet with human beings is in the zoo. There is a tremendous bonding between zoo animals and their keepers. And though some animals are indeed contented simply to be fed, and have their billets cleaned, others, and especially the mammals, depend a great deal upon their keeper's company, and respond with great intelligence when they are treated with intelligence and affection.'
And the spectacle will always have control
As it keeps us all struggling alone
Providing little boxes for us all
Demanding that we never ask for more
And we all sit back and drug away the pain
In a world that keeps us passive and tame
Isolated we will never realize
How we're spectators in their paradise
Whilst we're stuck inside the ghetto we create
With distractions there to keep us all content
These fences are promises and lies
Lets take the blindfold from our eyes
Destrozando el Zoológico
A través del torno, jungla de concreto, hábitat estéril de hierro.
Símbolo de brutalidad como supermercados, silos de misiles.
El hombre levanta más barreras, crea su mundo, niega a otro.
Animal, cautivo no deseado, refleja cómo viven los captores.
Prisionero, carcelero, solo los lados de la jaula nos hacen diferentes.

'El genio del hombre es una mente con la que razonar, y tiene el poder de sacar el potencial completo de elementos específicos. Cuando consideras los millones de animales en la tierra en cualquier momento, el privilegio de la compañía humana es disfrutado por muy, muy pocos de ellos. Un lugar donde los animales salvajes se encuentran con los seres humanos es en el zoológico. Existe un vínculo tremendo entre los animales del zoológico y sus cuidadores. Y aunque algunos animales están contentos simplemente con ser alimentados y que limpien sus puestos, otros, especialmente los mamíferos, dependen mucho de la compañía de sus cuidadores, y responden con gran inteligencia cuando son tratados con inteligencia y afecto.'
Y el espectáculo siempre tendrá control
Mientras nos mantiene luchando solos
Proporcionando pequeñas cajas para todos nosotros
Exigiendo que nunca pidamos más
Y todos nos sentamos y drogamos el dolor
En un mundo que nos mantiene pasivos y mansos
Aislados nunca nos daremos cuenta
De cómo somos espectadores en su paraíso
Mientras estamos atrapados dentro del gueto que creamos
Con distracciones para mantenernos contentos
Estas cercas son promesas y mentiras
