Convertei-vos, voltai a mim
E eu voltarei a vós.
Renunciai a vossos ídolos.
Convertei-vos e vivereis!
A morte do pecador não me compraz,
Mas a sua conversão traz-me alegria.
Afastai-vos do caminho que seguis,
Porque hás de perecer, ó Israel!
Não mais te mostrarei o meu furor,
Israel não é eterno o meu rancor.
Reconhece tão somente a tua falta:
Infiel foste ao Senhor que é teu Deus!
Eu vos reconduzirei até Sião,
Tereis pastores segundo o meu coração.
E, então, derramarei o meu espírito
Sobre cada um de vós o infundirei!

Convert and you will live!
The death of the sinner does not please me,
But their conversion brings me joy.
Turn away from the path you follow,

I will no longer show you my wrath,

Recognize only your fault:
You have been unfaithful to the Lord your God!
I will lead you back to Zion,
