Reunidos se encontravam
Os discípulos do Senhor
Com fervor eles esperavam
De Deus, o Consolador
Eis que um som mui de repente
Ecoar ouviu-se lá do céu
Qual um vento veemente
Era o Espírito de Deus
Línguas, como de fogo, viram
Em si mesmo então pousar
Sobre eles se repartiram
Fazendo a Deus louvar
Em linguagens diferentes
Começaram a manifestar
As grandezas excelentes
Que Deus Pai lhes fez provar
A promessa é feita a tantos
Quantos Deus, nosso Pai, chamar
Com fervor, todos os Seus Santos
Devem os Seus dons buscar
Se os homens, aos seus filhos
Boas coisas sabem ofertar
Muito mais o Pai bendito
Aos que pedem, pode dar

Gathered they were
The disciples of the Lord
With fervor they awaited
From God, the Comforter
Behold, a sound suddenly
Echo was heard from heaven
Like a strong wind
It was the Spirit of God
Tongues, like fire, they saw
Upon themselves then rest
They were distributed among them
Making them praise God
In different languages
They began to manifest
The excellent greatness
That God the Father made them experience
The promise is made to many
As many as God, our Father, calls
With fervor, all His Saints
Must seek His gifts
If men, to their children
Know how to offer good things
Much more the blessed Father
