Pela fé uma vez por Jesus dada aos santos
Fé perfeita que fez vitoriosos a tantos
Não temeram horrores nem espantos
Os fiéis que seguiram ao Senhor
Nas tristezas, nas lutas e dor
Recorriam a Cristo Jesus

Pela fé que os guiava na luz
Os cristãos foram, nos tribunais, condenados
Nas prisões eles foram, sem culpa, lançados
E, de seus bens terrestres, despojados
