Seu pastor, eu lhe pergunto: Como posso me salvar
Se sempre andei pelo mundo com a vida errante a pecar?
Eu só ligo pro dinheiro, penso em tudo ganhar
Seu pastor me diga, agora, se o céu é bom lugar!
Jesus quando veio ao mundo pra salvar o pecador
Nos garante João 14 que o céu é lugar de amor!
Creia e seja batizado e tenha fé no Senhor
Pra que um dia possa ver a face do Salvador!
Gostaria de ser crente mas como eu vou fazer
Se eu jogo, bebo e fumo? Seu pastor, o que há de ser
Se com todos estes vícios Deus irá me receber?
Sendo preciso eu largo, pois não quero perecer!
Deus é santo e verdadeiro, não aceita os viciados
Deixa tudo mesmo agora pra que sejas perdoado
Pois Deus ama o pecador, mas não gosta do pecado
Deixa os vícios malditos, seja em Deus purificado!
Eu começo, seu pastor, a sentir forte emoção
Suas palavras comovem o meu pobre coração
Durante estes seus versos, eu já começo a sentir
Na minh'alma tão cansada, um desejo de seguir
Se tua alma está cansada, ouça bem o que direi
Disse o mestre: Vinde a mim e eu vos aliviarei
Tu não penses no passado, para Deus deves olhar
Entrega o teu coração pra que possas se salvar!
Uma dúvida eu tenho, responda com precisão
Se em minha casa eu tenho imagens de devoção
Se posso servir a elas e a Deus no mesmo tempo
Diga se pode um crente ter os dois no pensamento
As imagens de escultura não devemos adorar
É mandamento de Deus e ninguém deve teimar
Deus condena a idolatria, que não devemos amar
Deuses feitos pelo homem que não podem nos salvar
Outra coisa lhe pergunto: Nasci em outra religião
Se eu me torno um crente, o que os parentes me dirão?
Se eles me ensinaram, há muito tempo atrás
Como é que eu vou deixar a religião dos meus pais?
Diz a palavra de Deus, se quiser posso mostrar
Quem não deixar pai e mãe no céu não terá lugar
Larga tudo e segue a Cristo, o verdadeiro Caminho
Para não correr o risco de ficar aqui sozinho
Pastor, estou decidido a deixar tudo no mundo
Já entrou no coração este amor que é tão profundo
Se eu soubesse há mais tempo, já teria aceitado
O evangelho de Cristo que morreu por nós pregado
Se com fé aceita, agora, queira se ajoelhar
O meu pensamento a Deus contigo quero levar
Numa palavra de fé, vamos ao bom Deus clamar
Quem quiser seguir o exemplo no céu tem muito lugar
