What is this life
But a series of journeys
From place to place
From heart to heart
From dream to dream?
Whether planned or unplanned
Across long distances
Or just within our reach
There is more to every journey than there seems
Been on this journey
For a little while now
And so far
I'm liking where I've been
All the people I have met
All the words that we've exchanged
All the fables and reflections I've seen
So let me take you on a journey (or two)
We'll scout the road
Just you and I
And where our journeying may take us
The point of journeying is to find
What is a journey
Without companions?
Someone to share with
And to care for
Someone to hold
I could travel all the world
But all the wonders it contains might pass me by
I need to see them through your eyes
I can pray that this journey never ends
Though I know that it will
So when it does
And all is done
I hope I'm somehow better off
Than when I started
So let me take you on a journey (or two)
We'll scout the road
Just you and I
And where our journeying may take us
