Hoje é sexta-feira em Jerusalém
Com a cruz sobre os seus ombros, Ele vem
Como ovelha muda não reclama com ninguém
Amanheceu
E a dor que Ele sente é demais
A caminho do Calvário, Ele vai
Condenado a morrer em meu lugar
Ele morreu
O Seu corpo foi rasgado
Ele foi crucificado pra me perdoar
A terra tremeu, o sol se escondeu
O véu se rasgou e a sexta-feira terminou
A cruz já está vazia, Ele foi levado
No sepulcro o seu corpo já foi colocado
Os discípulos com medo, pensam em parar
Se esqueceram da promessa e estão a chorar
De repente no sepulcro algo aconteceu
Os soldados vão ao chão, a pedra se moveu
A notícia entre o povo logo se espalhou
O sepulcro está vazio, Ele ressuscitou
Ele ressuscitou
Sobre o inferno e a morte, Ele triunfou
Sobre a cabeça da serpente, Ele já pisou
Tomou as chaves do diabo e fez estremecer
Ele é o Pai da Eternidade é o Dono do Poder
Ele subiu ao céu, mas prometeu que vai voltar
A sua Igreja redimida, Ele vem buscar
Mas só aqueles que passarem junto ao pé da cruz
Vão contemplar naquele Dia a face de Jesus
Como ovelha ao matadouro, foi sem reclamar
Foi humilhado e ferido só por me amar
Mas lá na cruz gritou bem alto: ''CONSUMADO ESTÁ!''
Para cumprir a profecia, Seu Trono deixou
E no Calvário a sua vida então entregou
Mas ao terceiro dia, meu Jesus ressuscitou
Sobre o inferno e a morte, Ele triunfou
Sobre a cabeça da serpente, Ele já pisou
Tomou as chaves do diabo e fez estremecer
Ele é o Pai da Eternidade é o Dono do Poder
Ele subiu ao céu mais prometeu que vai voltar
A sua Igreja redimida, Ele vem buscar
Mas só aqueles que passarem junto ao pé da cruz

Dawn has broken
Today is Friday in Jerusalem
With the cross on His shoulders, He comes
Like a silent lamb, He does not complain to anyone
Dawn has broken
And the pain He feels is too much
On the way to Calvary, He goes
Condemned to die in my place
He died
His body was torn
He was crucified to forgive me
The earth trembled, the sun hid
The veil tore and Friday ended
The cross is now empty, He was taken
His body has been placed in the tomb
The disciples, afraid, think of stopping
They forgot the promise and are crying
Suddenly something happened in the tomb
The soldiers fell to the ground, the stone moved
The news spread quickly among the people
The tomb is empty, He has risen
He has risen
He triumphed over hell and death
He has already stepped on the head of the serpent
He took the devil's keys and made it tremble
He is the Father of Eternity, He is the Owner of Power
He ascended to heaven, but promised to return
He will come to gather His redeemed Church
But only those who pass by the foot of the cross
Will behold the face of Jesus on that Day
Like a lamb to the slaughter, He went without complaining
He was humiliated and wounded just because He loves me
But on the cross He cried out loud: 'IT IS FINISHED!'
To fulfill the prophecy, He left His Throne
And at Calvary, He then gave His life
But on the third day, my Jesus rose
He triumphed over hell and death
He has already stepped on the head of the serpent
