O Decreto
Na babilônia, o rei escolheu homens fiéis
Experientes pra primeiro escalão
De confiança pra qualquer ocasião
E lá estava Daniel, homem temente com uma fé inabalável
No seu trabalho o rei via resultado
E queria promovê-lo ainda mais
E ali um grupo levantou
Procurando acusação contra Daniel
Que todo tempo era homem fiel
Obediente a lei dos homens e a lei de Deus
Mas para agradar ao rei, todos juntos ao palácio
Foram levar um decreto para o rei sancionar
E ter o que a Daniel acusar.
E disseram os presidentes e governadores
Óh rei Dário, vive para sempre!
Todos concordamos que o rei estabeleça um decreto
Para que todo aquele que fizer petição a qualquer Deus
Ou homem que não seja a ti, ó rei
Seja lançado na cova dos leões
E o rei assinou o decreto
Segundo a lei dos medos e dos persas
Que não se pode revogar.
Mas havia um segredo Daniel três vezes ao dia orava
Em sua casa de joelhos se prostravam
Com as janelas abertas para o lado de Jerusalém
Mesmo sabendo da situação, continuou de joelhos a orar
E os invejosos a comemorar
Agora temos do que a Daniel acusar
Ele ora ao Deus dele, ele se dobra diante dele
Ele conversa com o Deus dele, ele adora ao Deus dele
Ele não cessa de orar, que confiança é essa dele
Quem será que pode o livrar e ao rei levaram Daniel
Que foi jogado lá na cova dos leões, o devorar
Deus enviou um anjo e fechou a boca dos leões
Daniel foi inocentado, o decreto revogado
O rei ficou admirado: Daniel, servo fiel!
De agora em diante toda essa babilônia
Só se adora ao o teu Deus.
Não adianta criar decreto para o crente acusar
Crente não cede, ele não vai se intimidar
Quanto mais lutas, mais o crente vai orar
É confiando que Deus estende a sua poderosa mão
E quem detém se é de Deus a decisão
E eu vou te dizer, é melhor nem tentar
Porque ele ora ao Deus dele, ele se dobra diante dele
Ele conversa com o Deus dele, ele adora ao Deus dele
Ele não cessa de orar e o Deus dele é fiel
É Deus na terra, é Deus no céu e agindo ele quem impedirá
The Decree
In Babylon, the king chose faithful men
Experienced for the top positions
Trustworthy for any occasion
And there was Daniel, a man of faith with unwavering belief
In his work, the king saw results
And wanted to promote him even more
And there a group arose
Seeking accusation against Daniel
Who was always a faithful man
Obedient to the laws of men and God
But to please the king, all together to the palace
Went to bring a decree for the king to sanction
And have something to accuse Daniel of
And the presidents and governors said
Oh King Darius, live forever!
We all agree that the king should establish a decree
That whoever petitions any God
Or man other than you, oh king
Shall be cast into the den of lions
And the king signed the decree
According to the laws of the Medes and Persians
Which cannot be revoked
But there was a secret, Daniel prayed three times a day
In his house, he knelt down
With the windows open towards Jerusalem
Even knowing the situation, he continued to pray on his knees
And the envious ones celebrated
Now we have something to accuse Daniel of
He prays to his God, he bows before Him
He talks to his God, he worships his God
He does not cease to pray, what confidence he has
Who can deliver him? And they brought Daniel to the king
Who was thrown into the den of lions, to devour
God sent an angel and closed the lions' mouths
Daniel was acquitted, the decree revoked
The king was amazed: Daniel, faithful servant!
From now on, all of Babylon
Only worships your God
It's no use creating a decree to accuse the believer
The believer does not yield, he will not be intimidated
The more the struggles, the more the believer will pray
Trusting that God extends His mighty hand
And who can stop it if it is God's decision
And I'll tell you, it's better not to try
Because he prays to his God, he bows before Him
He talks to his God, he worships his God
He does not cease to pray and his God is faithful
It's God on earth, it's God in heaven, and acting, who will stop Him
