The Story of Stephen
No one can silence a servant of God
Prison will not frighten a faithful believer
Persecution, distress, or famine will not separate those whom God has chosen
Remember Stephen and what happened to him
Full of faith and power, he testified
God performed wonders and great signs
Stephen was questioned, and before the men he spoke thus
That Jesus Christ was crucified and resurrected
When the men heard this, they became furious
They shouted and yelled at Stephen, saying: You will die!
And after driving him out of the city, they picked up stones to stone him
But Stephen, filled with the anointing, opened his mouth and began to speak
I see the heavens opened and seated on the throne is
The Son of Man, full of majesty, the awesome God, the great Jehovah
Even when humiliated and stoned, he did not deny his God
For the believer who is a believer even in the face of death, exalts the Lord
I see the heavens opened and seated on the throne is
The Son of Man, full of majesty, the awesome God, the great Jehovah
Even when humiliated and stoned, he did not deny his God
For the believer who is a believer even in the face of death, exalts the Lord
If you are suffering persecution
Know that God is with you in times of trouble
If they throw stones at you, build a castle, for God will exalt you
He will sing the victory hymn, saying: Great is Jehovah!
You will see the skies open
You will see the glory of Jehovah
God will bless you, no one will stop you
The victory that He will give you
Don't give up, my brother, because God will exalt you
For the believer who is a true believer does not fear death, he will live forever
You will see the skies open
You will see the glory of Jehovah
God will bless you, no one will stop you
The victory that He will give you
Don't give up, my brother, because God will exalt you
For the believer who is a true believer does not fear death, he will live forever
He will live, he will live forever
In God, in Christ forever
He will live forever, he will live
