A Conquista
Um dia chegou nessa terra um conquistador
Manchando de sangue o solo que ele pisou
Não respeitou a cultura do lugar
Nem a história desse povo milenar
Queria ouro riqueza e tesouro
Depois a terra e também escravidão
Tibiriçá, Araribóia, Ajuricaba disseram não
Um dia o índio lutou contra o branco invasor
E a guerra de bravos guerreiros então começou
Arcos e flechas contra a força do canhão
Guerra dos índios dizimou minha nação
Trouxeram cruz mais usavam arcabuz
E o ameríndio resistia à invasão
Chamaram a morte e o massacre do meu povo
Civilização
Chegou o branco, pra conquistar
Chegou o negro, pra trabalhar
Unindo raças e crenças de povos
Vindos de além mar
The Conquest
One day a conqueror arrived in this land
Staining with blood the ground he walked on
Did not respect the culture of the place
Not even the history of these ancient people
I wanted gold, wealth and treasure
Then the land and also slavery
Tibiriçá, Araribóia, Ajuricaba said no
One day the Indian fought against the invading white man
And the war of brave warriors then began
Bows and arrows against the force of the cannon
Indian War decimated my nation
They brought a cross but used an arquebus
And the Amerindian resisted the invasion
They called for death and massacre of my people
Civilization
The white man arrived to conquer
The black man arrived to work
Uniting races and beliefs of peoples
Coming from overseas
