I Won't Let Go

Grupo Rodeio

Não Largo de Mão

Me emponcho de experiência e estrada
Dos cavalos que domei
De tropa cruzando cochilhas
Carreteadas que troteei
Lançante, brete, quadra e campo
Emponchado em xucros corcoviei
A cada corcovio um laçaço
Domando a vida me criei

Chega um tempo me paro abancado
Por vez me pergunto onde é ofício pra mim
Por que um taura na lida envelhece
E a vida parece que é xucra é no fim
Ontem o mango, hoje o peso da cuia
Me enverga a coluna que eu caia no chão
Pra esse véio esta cuia é uma crina
Morte grudado é sina, não largo de mão

Chega um tempo me paro abancado
Por vez me pergunto onde é ofício pra mim
Por que um taura na lida envelhece
E a vida parece que é xucra é no fim
Ontem o mango, hoje o peso da cuia
Me enverga a coluna que eu caia no chão
Pra esse véio esta cuia é uma crina
Morte grudado é sina, não largo de mão

Lembrar rebolca o pensamento
Solavanca solidão
Pois mandalete de fazenda
Não dá rédea ao coração
Fui piazito muntado num sonho
Ter meu rancho, minha criação
Fui maneado nas rédeas do tempo
Sem cavalos e arreios no chão

Chega um tempo me paro abancado
Por vez me pergunto onde é ofício pra mim
Por que um taura na lida envelhece
E a vida parece que é xucra é no fim
Ontem o mango, hoje o peso da cuia
Me enverga a coluna que eu caia no chão
Pra esse véio esta cuia é uma crina
Morte grudado é sina, não largo de mão

Chega um tempo me paro abancado
Por vez me pergunto onde é ofício pra mim
Por que um taura na lida envelhece
E a vida parece que é xucra é no fim
Ontem o mango, hoje o peso da cuia
Me enverga a coluna que eu caia no chão
Pra esse véio esta cuia é uma crina
Morte grudado é sina, não largo de mão

I Won't Let Go

I wrap myself in experience and the road
From the horses I've tamed
From the herd crossing hills
The cattle drives I've rode
Throwing ropes, in the pen, field and range
With my back hunched, I bucked and swayed
With every buck, I threw a lasso
Taming life, I was made

There comes a time I sit down and ponder
Sometimes I ask myself where's my place
'Cause a cowboy in the grind grows old
And life seems rough in the end
Yesterday it was the reins, today the weight of the gourd
Bending my back, I could fall to the ground
For this old man, this gourd is a mane
Death stuck to me is fate, I won't let go

There comes a time I sit down and ponder
Sometimes I ask myself where's my place
'Cause a cowboy in the grind grows old
And life seems rough in the end
Yesterday it was the reins, today the weight of the gourd
Bending my back, I could fall to the ground
For this old man, this gourd is a mane
Death stuck to me is fate, I won't let go

Remembering stirs my thoughts
Shaking up my loneliness
'Cause a ranch hand
Doesn't give the heart a break
I was a young kid riding a dream
To have my ranch, my own stock
I was led by the reins of time
With no horses and gear on the ground
