Tão sedento, pelo mundo, eu procurava
Minh'alma, em vão, satisfazer
Então o Salvador falou-me
Desta fonte eterna vem beber
O meu cálice eu ergo a Ti, Senhor
Vem minh'alma sedenta saciar
Minha vida anseia pelo Teu amor
Faz meu ser dessa água transbordar
Quanta gente está em busca dos prazeres
Que o mundo pode oferecer
Ignoram a felicidade
Que em Cristo, de graça, podem ter
Ó amigo, se as coisas desta Terra
Só trazem dor, desilusão
Em Cristo há paz e alegria
Ele é fonte de vida e salvação
My Chalice Overflows
So thirsty, I searched the world
My soul, in vain, to satisfy
Then the Savior spoke to me
From this eternal fountain come drink
My chalice I raise to You, Lord
Come satisfy my thirsty soul
My life longs for Your love
Make my being overflow with this water
How many people are in search of pleasures
That the world can offer
They ignore the happiness
That in Christ, freely, they can have
Oh friend, if the things of this Earth
Only bring pain, disillusion
In Christ there is peace and joy
He is the source of life and salvation
