Ouvi da bela história
Que Jesus desceu da glória
E no Gólgota enfim morreu
Por quantos como eu
Ouvi dos Seus gemidos
De Seus sangue e dos remidos
E ao fim, contrito me prostrei
Vitória nEle achei
Vitória em Cristo
Eterna vitória!
Buscou-me, salvou-me
Na cruz por mim morreu
Que paz e alegria!
Raiou um novo dia!
Vitória Jesus me deu
No sangue que verteu!
Ouvi que Ele cura
Sim, a todo que O procura
Que o coxo fez andar, então
E ao cego deu visão
Orei, clamei: Meu Mestre

E logo Cristo me atendeu

Ouvi falar da glória
Que virá após vitória
Para os redimidos por Jesus
Na resplendente luz
De anjos lá cantando
E mansões já me aguardando
Será glorioso ali chegar

I heard the beautiful story
That Jesus came down from glory
And on Golgotha finally died
For how many like me
I heard His groans
Of His blood and the redeemed
And in the end, contrite I prostrated myself
I found victory in Him

Eternal victory!
He sought me, saved me
On the cross He died for me
What peace and joy!
A new day dawned!
Jesus gave me victory
In the blood He shed!
I heard that He heals
Yes, all who seek Him
He made the lame walk, then

I prayed, I cried out: My Master
Come restore my life
And soon Christ answered me
And gave me victory
I heard about the glory
That will come after victory
For the redeemed by Jesus
In the resplendent light
Of angels singing there
And mansions already waiting for me
