In The Beginning
Everything was dark there was no form
Let us go back to the very beginning
The spirit of God was moving' over the water
Before he decided to create everything in it
He was just west coastin' lookin' at the water
There was no life, everything was void
There was no wind, there was no sky, no dry land
And there was no noise
Said let there be light & then there was
It shined so bright that the lord was pleased
The he separated and named day and night
And all of that on day O.N.E
Then he separated the water below from above
And he called the water that is up there sky
And that's moisture, and how the rain drops
And that's when we see the earth cry
And that was day two
And on day three that's when the land started taking it's shape
Then he made seeds that would turn into plants
Some of them to bare fruit & then some to bare grain
Then on the fourth day he made two lights
So they could rule over day & the night
Not the same light that he made on day one
See these are the lights that define our time
Days & years, hours and minutes
Sun & the moon & the stars in the sky
Tell us what time it is no matter where we at
No matter where we go they will shine
On day 5, God made life
Fish in the sea & the birds in the air
God blessed em all, told em to fill up the place that they live
So that's just what they did
Then came the animals that walk on land
Domestic & wild, small & large
Created with a simple thought from the architect
The only real charles in charge
And that was day six, but yet he wasn't done
All of that was made right before he formed us
Cause on that last day, that's when it would all change
And he'd create the things that he loves
Let us make man in our image, let them resemble us
Formed from the dirt, that's why we are
Ashes to ashes & dust to dust
He put us in charge of every living thing
Told us have children & multiply
That's why a man & a woman
Will only be able to ever produce this life
This is who we are, this who we’ve been
No matter how these times may change
God is still God, man is still man
Power is still within Jesus' name
Hail the creator the one who is light
The God who separates day from the night
One who distinguishes wrong from the right
For him I easily would give my life
En El Principio
Todo estaba oscuro, no había forma
Volviendo al principio mismo
El espíritu de Dios se movía sobre el agua
Antes de decidir crear todo en ella
Él solo estaba en la costa oeste mirando el agua
No había vida, todo era vacío
No había viento, no había cielo, ni tierra seca
Y no había ruido
Dijo que haya luz y entonces la hubo
Brillaba tan intensamente que el Señor estaba complacido
Luego separó y nombró el día y la noche
Y todo eso en el día U.N.O.
Luego separó el agua de abajo de la de arriba
Y llamó al agua que está arriba cielo
Y eso es humedad, y cómo caen las gotas de lluvia
Y es cuando vemos a la tierra llorar
Y eso fue el día dos
Y en el día tres es cuando la tierra comenzó a tomar forma
Luego hizo semillas que se convertirían en plantas
Algunas para dar frutos y otras para dar granos
Luego en el cuarto día hizo dos luces
Para que pudieran gobernar el día y la noche
No es la misma luz que hizo en el día uno
Estas son las luces que definen nuestro tiempo
Días y años, horas y minutos
Sol y la luna y las estrellas en el cielo
Nos dicen qué hora es sin importar dónde estemos
No importa a dónde vayamos, brillarán
En el día 5, Dios creó la vida
Peces en el mar y aves en el aire
Dios los bendijo a todos, les dijo que llenaran el lugar donde viven
Y eso es justo lo que hicieron
Luego vinieron los animales que caminan en la tierra
Domésticos y salvajes, pequeños y grandes
Creados con un simple pensamiento del arquitecto
El único verdadero jefe
Y eso fue el día seis, pero aún no había terminado
Todo eso fue hecho justo antes de que nos formara
Porque en ese último día, eso es cuando todo cambiaría
Y crearía las cosas que ama
Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen, que se asemejen a nosotros
Formados del polvo, por eso somos
De ceniza a ceniza y de polvo a polvo
Nos puso a cargo de toda criatura viviente
Nos dijo que tuviéramos hijos y nos multiplicáramos
Por eso un hombre y una mujer
Solo podrán producir esta vida
Esto es quienes somos, esto es lo que hemos sido
No importa cómo cambien estos tiempos
Dios sigue siendo Dios, el hombre sigue siendo hombre
El poder sigue dentro del nombre de Jesús
Salve al creador, aquel que es luz
El Dios que separa el día de la noche
Aquel que distingue lo incorrecto de lo correcto
Por él fácilmente daría mi vida
