Todo estaba oscuro, no había formaEverything was dark there was no form
Volviendo al principio mismoLet us go back to the very beginning
El espíritu de Dios se movía sobre el aguaThe spirit of God was moving' over the water
Antes de decidir crear todo en ellaBefore he decided to create everything in it
Él solo estaba en la costa oeste mirando el aguaHe was just west coastin' lookin' at the water
No había vida, todo era vacíoThere was no life, everything was void
No había viento, no había cielo, ni tierra secaThere was no wind, there was no sky, no dry land
Y no había ruidoAnd there was no noise
Dijo que haya luz y entonces la huboSaid let there be light & then there was
Brillaba tan intensamente que el Señor estaba complacidoIt shined so bright that the lord was pleased
Luego separó y nombró el día y la nocheThe he separated and named day and night
Y todo eso en el día U.N.O.And all of that on day O.N.E

Luego separó el agua de abajo de la de arribaThen he separated the water below from above
Y llamó al agua que está arriba cieloAnd he called the water that is up there sky
Y eso es humedad, y cómo caen las gotas de lluviaAnd that's moisture, and how the rain drops
Y es cuando vemos a la tierra llorarAnd that's when we see the earth cry
Y eso fue el día dosAnd that was day two
Y en el día tres es cuando la tierra comenzó a tomar formaAnd on day three that's when the land started taking it's shape
Luego hizo semillas que se convertirían en plantasThen he made seeds that would turn into plants
Algunas para dar frutos y otras para dar granosSome of them to bare fruit & then some to bare grain
Luego en el cuarto día hizo dos lucesThen on the fourth day he made two lights
Para que pudieran gobernar el día y la nocheSo they could rule over day & the night
No es la misma luz que hizo en el día unoNot the same light that he made on day one
Estas son las luces que definen nuestro tiempoSee these are the lights that define our time
Días y años, horas y minutosDays & years, hours and minutes
Sol y la luna y las estrellas en el cieloSun & the moon & the stars in the sky
Nos dicen qué hora es sin importar dónde estemosTell us what time it is no matter where we at
No importa a dónde vayamos, brillaránNo matter where we go they will shine

En el día 5, Dios creó la vidaOn day 5, God made life
Peces en el mar y aves en el aireFish in the sea & the birds in the air
Dios los bendijo a todos, les dijo que llenaran el lugar donde vivenGod blessed em all, told em to fill up the place that they live
Y eso es justo lo que hicieronSo that's just what they did
Luego vinieron los animales que caminan en la tierraThen came the animals that walk on land
Domésticos y salvajes, pequeños y grandesDomestic & wild, small & large
Creados con un simple pensamiento del arquitectoCreated with a simple thought from the architect
El único verdadero jefeThe only real charles in charge
Y eso fue el día seis, pero aún no había terminadoAnd that was day six, but yet he wasn't done
Todo eso fue hecho justo antes de que nos formaraAll of that was made right before he formed us
Porque en ese último día, eso es cuando todo cambiaríaCause on that last day, that's when it would all change
Y crearía las cosas que amaAnd he'd create the things that he loves
Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen, que se asemejen a nosotrosLet us make man in our image, let them resemble us

Formados del polvo, por eso somosFormed from the dirt, that's why we are
De ceniza a ceniza y de polvo a polvoAshes to ashes & dust to dust
Nos puso a cargo de toda criatura vivienteHe put us in charge of every living thing
Nos dijo que tuviéramos hijos y nos multiplicáramosTold us have children & multiply
Por eso un hombre y una mujerThat's why a man & a woman
Solo podrán producir esta vidaWill only be able to ever produce this life
Esto es quienes somos, esto es lo que hemos sidoThis is who we are, this who we’ve been
No importa cómo cambien estos tiemposNo matter how these times may change
Dios sigue siendo Dios, el hombre sigue siendo hombreGod is still God, man is still man
El poder sigue dentro del nombre de JesúsPower is still within Jesus' name
Salve al creador, aquel que es luzHail the creator the one who is light
El Dios que separa el día de la nocheThe God who separates day from the night
Aquel que distingue lo incorrecto de lo correctoOne who distinguishes wrong from the right
Por él fácilmente daría mi vidaFor him I easily would give my life
