Madrugada Sangrenta
De madrugada sem poder dormir
Me vi numa estrada e muitos a sorrir
Muita zombaria e gritos de pavor
Chicotes batiam no corpo de alguém
O homem abatido não pude reconhecer semblante caído
Eu não pude ver seu corpo ferido por uma maldosa cruz
E muitos gritavam crucifiquem Jesus
Mas os passos que ele dava percebi a decisão
De alguém que só queria morrer pela salvação
Mas chegando no calvário
O deitaram sobre a cruz
Com desprezo pregaram meu Jesus
A cabeça doía pelos grandes espinhos
Da coroa sangrenta que feria Jesus
Seus parentes choravam, ele sofria calado
Até o pai lá do céu se virou pra não ver
A garganta já seca pediu água pra beber
Mas lhe deram vinagre
Ele humilde bebeu
Sofrimento tão grande suportou meu Jesus
Eu não tenho a coragem desta cena enfrentar
Este ato foi tão grande
Só se deu por acabado quando Cristo quase morto
Disse: Está consumado
Nesta cena cruciante eu chorava sem parar
Pois Jesus naquele instante morria para me salvar
Então dobrei os meus joelhos e a Deus agradeci
Se não fosse meu Jesus hoje não estaria aqui
Bloody Dawn
In the early morning unable to sleep
I found myself on a road and many were smiling
Much mockery and cries of terror
Whips were hitting someone's body
The beaten man I couldn't recognize with a fallen face
I couldn't see his body wounded by a malicious cross
And many were shouting crucify Jesus
But the steps he took I noticed the decision
Of someone who only wanted to die for salvation
But arriving at Calvary
They laid him on the cross
With contempt they nailed my Jesus
His head ached from the large thorns
Of the bloody crown that hurt Jesus
His relatives cried, he suffered in silence
Even the father in heaven turned away not to see
His throat already dry asked for water to drink
But they gave him vinegar
He humbly drank
He endured such great suffering my Jesus
I don't have the courage to face this scene
This act was so great
It was only finished when Christ almost dead
Said: It is finished
In this excruciating scene I cried nonstop
For Jesus at that moment was dying to save me
So I knelt down and thanked God
If it weren't for my Jesus, I wouldn't be here today
