Die du achtlos summst
Die aus Sehnsucht dann in dir entsteh'n
Sind sie wild und laut
Oder sind sie zart und leise
So entsteht ein Lied
Beinah' nichts und doch so viel
Und dann singst du sie

Und es gibt dir Trost
Und dann hören dir die Ander’n zu
Die Wahrheit singst du nicht

Or is it a verse of a good, perfect world
At some point you will hear
A few notes just a few notes
That you carelessly hum
Which then arise in you from longing
Are they wild and loud
Or are they gentle and quiet
How a song is created
Almost nothing and yet so much
And then you sing them
A few words and a few sounds
And it gives you comfort
And then the others will listen to you
You don't sing the truth
But it is probably not a lie either
It's just a song
