Dark, frigid wind
Abruptly pierces the cloak
Beyond this frontier
Hold ready your nail
Take heed of my tale
How once it was other way
But Hallownest days were numbered lang syne
You see, far away
The palace ruins appear
A city there was, such will never rise
Erected it was
With our king's love and concern
But when the abyss rose, the king fled away
Move forward, my friend
And pick up the pace
The longer we tarry
The colder it gets
Oh, how much I want
For it to be otherwise
And see Hallownest's lights sparkle again
Such opulent galas
Nobility used to give here
Now nothing but tears from heavens above
Magnificent feasts
From morning till night
Now nothing but moans of those that are doomed
Our doom is ordained by fate
We can't avoid it and cannot escape
Creator, forgive us
Forsaken you were
And now nevermore will you lighten our path
Cursed be the Lady
Seeking protection in green
Cursed be the Vessel
Who was chained in the dark
Cursed be the monarch
Consumed by the abyss and gone
Damning his kingdom to the eternal void
The years roll on
Time leaves rocks in the dust
And Hallownest
Will hardly ever return
Its lands are now soaked
With vile peccant plague
And niveous haze obscures our path
But fire of our souls
Is still burning bright
The flame of our hope that shall never fade
Thus Hollow Knight
One day will return to us
Will vanquish the plague
And go to eternal sleep
