T'he vist com sempre a l'estació, somriure net; avui de nou
esperes un tren misteriós que ve de lluny, si és que va enlloc.
Tothom et sap i, tendrament, et filen anys per a fer-te un temps,
quant de temps.
Dius que, a l'andana, no hi ets sol; viuen amb tu ombres i jocs,
ombres d'adéus sense retorn, jocs de petons pels benvinguts
i, a dalt dels arbres més bonics, hi niuen els amors ferits,
per un tren,
que amb tu esperen el senyal de l'arribada d'aire nou,
d'un gest nou,
d'un pas nou,
d'un tren nou.
T'he vist de nou a l'estació i en tu m'he vist, a poc a poc,
buscant un tren misteriós, que ve de lluny, si és que va enlloc,
i veig com dormen els adéus, com neguitegen els retorns
per un tren.
Que, finalment, quan la tardor pinta un cel nou a l'estació,
tots esperem el pas d'un tren, que va molt lluny, si ve d'enlloc.
Els uns perquè ens arribes tu, els altres perquè se'ns enduu
aquell tren.
I amb tu esperem el senyal de l'arribada d'aire nou,
d'un gest nou,
d'un pas nou,
d'un tren nou.
At the Station
I saw you as always at the station, clean smile; today again
you wait for a mysterious train coming from afar, if it goes anywhere.

shadows of farewells with no return, games of kisses for the newcomers

I saw you again at the station and in you I saw myself, slowly,
looking for a mysterious train, coming from afar, if it goes anywhere,
and I see how farewells sleep, how returns fret
for a train.
That, finally, when autumn paints a new sky at the station,
we all wait for the passage of a train, going very far, if it comes from somewhere.
Some because you arrive, others because it takes us away
that train.
