Once upon a time not too long ago
We were hanging out the side of my El Camino

It was a three-hour drive from the Brook to the shore
It cost us five to park and fifteen at the door
The car ride was fun it was a great little cruise
We are gonna dance all night at the House of Blues

Under the stage light
Hope I don't get into a fight
Cause skanking in the pit is dangerous
We are finally there it's the end of the ride
We get out the car and we go inside
There are people already there the show is packed
Its gonna be a great time we know for a fact
The first note is played by the opening band
We came for the show not for the sand
Why go to the beach when you can rock like this
When we grow up this is what we'll miss

The show ends and we head to the car
Everyone else just heads to the bar
That's not for us we begin for the brook
Three hours ahead, at least that's what it took
But it will seem shorter, there's no excitement ahead
Just knowing we'll be in the comfort of our bed
