Abendua
Abendua da andra mari zuriaren plaza,
kafea hosten daukat aurrean tabernako
leihotik ikusten da mundua,
denak azkarregi doaz,
Dublineko Nereak goizero bezela oparitu
dit bere irria,
eskerrak aingeruak badirela gurea,
zinez bejondeiola.
Hau oraindik ezta amaitu entzui
dazu maitea, nik eman izan banizu zuk
behar duzun bakea. Baino oraindik hor
gordetzen dut azken neguan zeugaz,
Isilpean pasa gendun itsasoari begira.
Esaten dute uda iragan ostean,
baretu direla bihotzak,
baina nirea erruz gogortu nahi
didaten haizeak eta hotsak
parte esna pasatu dut pentsamendua suan,
aspaldian hau lagun zen loak
atzerako biderik esan laukate sale
Bizitza arana sokan.
Hau oraindik ezta amaitu entzui
dazu maitea, nik eman izan banizu zuk
behar duzun bakea. Baño oraindik hor
gordetzen dut azken neguan zeugaz,
Isilpean pasa gendun itsasoari begira.
December
It's December in the square of the white lady,
I have the coffee in front of the tavern
The world is seen from the window,
Everything goes fast,
Like the mornings in Dublin
She gave her smile,
Thanking the angels are ours,
Truly blessed.
This is not over yet, listen
Love, if I gave you
the peace you need. But still
I keep it with you in the last winter,
Looking at the sea in silence.
They say that after summer
hearts have been filled,
but mine wants to harden
the winds and voices
I have spent a pleasant part of my thoughts in the fire,
this was a friend long ago
they say there is no way back
Life is a long journey.
This is not over yet, listen
Love, if I gave you
the peace you need. But still
I keep it with you in the last winter,
Looking at the sea in silence.
