Desolate Spheres
I close my eyes and the sun goes out
hold a breath and all of the creatures fall dead
cover my ears and the universe goes silent
not a water drop
not a heartbeat
not a sound from a songbird in any of the 4 corners
I swallow the stars until they burn like coals through my eyes
my outline glows against the night sky like an eclipse of the sun
and sparks follow each of my movements like a shower of meteors
I light up the sky with the Aurora
comets appear before dawn
he greets us at death in that quiet place that is faint in our memories
that place that has always been there but we can’t quite remember
When you cross that bridge to the other world, open the door and step through
step through the stars, swim through the gate,
touch the very boundaries of the universe
Esferas Desoladas
Cierro mis ojos y el sol se apaga
contengo la respiración y todas las criaturas caen muertas
tapo mis oídos y el universo se vuelve silencioso
ni una gota de agua
ni un latido
ni un sonido de un pájaro cantor en ninguno de los 4 rincones
Trago las estrellas hasta que arden como brasas a través de mis ojos
mi contorno brilla contra el cielo nocturno como un eclipse del sol
y chispas siguen cada uno de mis movimientos como una lluvia de meteoros
Ilumino el cielo con la Aurora
los cometas aparecen antes del amanecer
nos saluda en la muerte en ese lugar tranquilo que es tenue en nuestros recuerdos
ese lugar que siempre ha estado allí pero no podemos recordar del todo
Cuando cruzas ese puente hacia el otro mundo, abre la puerta y atraviesa
atraviesa las estrellas, nada a través de la puerta
toca los límites mismos del universo
