Two Little Birds

Two little birds are singing
On my window every morning
Messages written on their beaks
They come and go, singing again

That's how it happens every single day
And that's how it feels in my heart
The little birds sing beautifully
And the clouds are their playground

Both of them land on my balcony
Their beaks hold the messages
They chirp to each other and drop them at my feet
I keep listening, trying to catch them
They chirp to each other and drop them at my feet
I keep listening, trying to catch them

Quickly I want to know
What the message says
The first word that’s there
"Here I send you two little birds
They are two messengers
Little birds are their playground
I want you to come, if you can."
And those who know us sign it

Don’t lose your patience with me, Mariana
Why, my soul, are you so worried?
In the morning if it doesn’t rain, in the evening
We’ll go out together to stay
In the morning if it doesn’t rain, in the evening
We’ll go out together to stay
