Tuas águas sagradas
São lindas estradas
São contos de fadas
Ó meu doce rio
A canoa que passa
O voo da garça
As gaivotas cantando
Em ti vão deixando
O gosto de amar
É o caboclo sonhando
Que entoa remando
O seu triste penar

Neste poema de bolhas
Que ressoa nas folhas
Da linda floresta
Do meu rio mar
É o caboclo sonhando

Neste caudal tão bonito
Que é o desejo infinito
De plantar meu grito
Nas ondas do mar

Your sacred waters
Are beautiful roads
Are fairy tales
Oh my sweet river
The passing canoe
The flight of the heron
The seagulls singing
In you they leave
The taste of love
It's the caboclo dreaming
Who sings while rowing
His sad suffering

In this poem of bubbles
That echoes in the leaves
Of the beautiful forest
Of my sea river
It's the caboclo dreaming

In this so beautiful flow
Which is the infinite desire
To plant my shout
In the waves of the sea
