O Cego de Jericó
Enquanto para Jericó
O bom Jesus passava
Um cego, filho de Jacó
Sem se cansar clamava
Jesus, ó Filho de Davi
Tem compaixão de mim, Senhor!
Jesus, ó Filho de Davi
Atende ao meu clamor!
A multidão vendo-o clamar
Sê quieto, lhe dizia
Mas ele sem a escutar
Mais forte repetia
Jesus então mandou chamar
O cego que gritava
Que veio logo, sem tardar
Mas inda assim clamava
Jesus pergunta com prazer
Que queres que te faça?
Jesus, eu quero hoje ver
Por Teu poder e graça
Então Jesus lhe respondeu
Vai, a tua fé te salvou
E logo viu, o Bartimeu
E ao bom Jesus louvou!
The Blind Man of Jericho
While to Jericho
The good Jesus passed by
A blind man, son of Jacob
Without getting tired, he cried out
Jesus, O Son of David
Have mercy on me, Lord!
Jesus, O Son of David
Listen to my plea!
The crowd seeing him cry out
Be quiet, they said to him
But he, without listening
Repeated louder
Jesus then ordered to call
The blind man who was shouting
Who came right away
But still kept crying out
Jesus asked with pleasure
What do you want me to do for you?
Jesus, I want to see today
By Your power and grace
Then Jesus answered him
Go, your faith has saved you
And immediately Bartimaeus saw
And praised the good Jesus!
