Ascent
Slowly it etches, jagged cracks appear
The face of a lion, the sum of my fears
As i walk it grows, steadily erupting
Glacier teeth from its mouth
Spawning clouds make up its mane
From all the hate i try to redirect
From all the pain i don't let affect
My stone face, its like the mountain is me
Solid to the eye, but melting underneath
Callous and numb, i make my ascent
Up this volcanic slope i try to pretend
That i'm just indifferent
Meanwhile the rage is overflowing
Climbing higher to reach the summit
Striving harder to overcome it
The misery that dwells in me
Wrath flowing through every vein
I feel the knot begin to tie
Internal pressure starts to rise
Fangs of temper bite my chest
With crushing jaws they overwhelm
The lava, the angst, the eruption
My uphill battle ensues
I push the boulder just to watch it roll
Amongst the smoldering flames below
Cursed by my own despair
I try to leave it and trudge on
Climbing higher to reach the summit
Striving harder to overcome it
Climbing higher to be free of it

Ascenso
Poco a poco se graba, grietas dentadas aparecen
El rostro de un león, la suma de mis miedos
Mientras camino crece, erupcionando constantemente
Dientes de glaciar desde su boca
Nubes generadas componen su melena
De todo el odio que intento redirigir
De todo el dolor que no dejo afectar
Mi rostro de piedra, es como si la montaña fuera yo
Sólido a simple vista, pero derritiéndose por dentro
Insensible y entumecido, hago mi ascenso
Por esta pendiente volcánica intento fingir
Que simplemente soy indiferente
Mientras tanto la rabia desborda
Subiendo más alto para alcanzar la cima
Esforzándome más para superarlo
La miseria que habita en mí
Ira fluyendo por cada vena
Siento el nudo empezar a apretar
La presión interna comienza a subir
Colmillos de temperamento muerden mi pecho
Con mandíbulas aplastantes me abruman
La lava, la angustia, la erupción
Mi batalla cuesta arriba continúa
Empujo la roca solo para verla rodar
Entre las llamas humeantes abajo
Maldito por mi propia desesperación
Intento dejarla atrás y seguir adelante
Subiendo más alto para alcanzar la cima
Esforzándome más para superarlo
Subiendo más alto para liberarme de ello
Esforzándome más, lo superé
