When Breath Escapes
Now life has ended.
Played all the cards that have been handed.
And now eternity has a whole new meaning,
with its no end and no beginning.
A heart comes to its last ticking, its blood feels like its thickening.
And its mind can't stop thinking,
when life flashes before it, will it like what it sees.
Or will it wish to have done other things.
And the regret will only add more to the flame's pain.
As breath escapes, the heart beats slower.
Soon, the nightmare will be over, or will it just begin?
As once again eternity sinks in.
Life's last strength grips the deathbed below then digs itself in.
I guess the understanding of life after death comes with the absence of breath.
Cuando el aliento escapa
Ahora la vida ha terminado.
Jugado todas las cartas que se han repartido.
Y ahora la eternidad tiene un nuevo significado,
con su no final y no principio.
Un corazón llega a su último latido, su sangre se siente como si se espesara.
Y su mente no puede dejar de pensar,
cuando la vida pasa ante él, ¿le gustará lo que ve?
O deseará haber hecho otras cosas.
Y el arrepentimiento solo añadirá más dolor a la llama.
Mientras el aliento escapa, el corazón late más lento.
Pronto, la pesadilla habrá terminado, ¿o apenas comenzará?
Una vez más, la eternidad se hunde.
La última fuerza de la vida se aferra a la cama de muerte debajo y se hunde en ella.
Supongo que la comprensión de la vida después de la muerte viene con la ausencia de aliento.
