Jat Paahaaraa dheeraj suniaar
Let self-control be your furnace, and patience your goldsmith.
Aharan mat vayd hathi-aar
Let understanding be your anvil, and spiritual wisdom your hammer.
Bhau khalaa agan tap taa-o
With the Fear of God as your bellows, fan the flames of the body's inner heat, the Tapa.
Bhaandaa bhaa-o amrit tit dhal
In the crucible of love, melt the Nectar of the Name.
Gharee-ai shabad sachee taksaal.
In your heart the Divine Sound Current is forged.
Jin Kau nadar karam tin kaar.
Such is the labor of those upon whom God has given the Glance of Grace.

Bhau khalaa agan tap taa-o
Met de Vrees voor God als jouw blaasbalg, fanned de vlammen van de innerlijke hitte van het lichaam, de Tapa.
Bhaandaa bhaa-o amrit tit dhal
In de smeltkroes van liefde, smelt de Nectar van de Naam.
Gharee-ai shabad sachee taksaal.
In je hart wordt de Goddelijke Geluidstroom gesmeed.

Zo is het werk van degenen op wie God de Blik van Genade heeft gegeven.
