Your eyes open slowly it's mid afternoon
Your ears still ringing some electric tune
Facing a wall and feet to the floor it's time to start again
So do we pick things up from where we left off
So impossibly cool can really be tough
And you feel too tired to notice how you are
So won't somebody turn *off the night please*
I need some sleep
Oh you're such a winner you blow us away
You're so so funny when you dance that way
Everybody laughs we can't get enough
In fact we can't seem to stop
Until the morning *counts down relentlessly*
But brushing your teeth and shoes on the leave
Hopscotch to the car happiness can't be far from here
So won't somebody turn *off the night please*
I need some sleep
This morning's just breaking my heart *well i have seen*
And the last thing i need is to pick on these scabs
And hope that they bleed me a bit of *hurt* and
Don't judge me you don't know where i've been

So tonight only the lonely know

The lonely soldiers know they'll be
Raving the night with their strongest defense
Independent indifference ******
Hearts so torn just to keep moving on
Won't someone just *turn off the night* please
