I will love You, o Lord, my strength

The cords of death were wrapped around me
The floods of ungodliness made me afraid
The sorrows of hell surrounded me
And I was taunted by the jaws of death
And in my anguish, I called on Yahweh
My cry came before Him
Into His temple
And when my cry came to His ears
Then the earth shook and trembled
And the foundations of the mountains quaked because He was angry
Smoke rose from His nostrils
Devouring fire came from His mouth
Coals were kindled by it
He ripped open the skies and came down
With darkness under His feet
He was riding on a cherub
And He flew upon the wings of the wind
His covering was darkness and storm clouds of the skies
From the brightness before Him
Hailstones and coals of fire thundered from the clouds
Yahweh thundered His voice from the heavens

He sent His arrows and scattered the foe
And He routed them with lightning bolts
And the channels of the sea were seen
The foundations of the earth laid bare
With just a blast of His nostrils
At His rebuke He sent for me
He drew me out of many waters
Yahweh rescued me from my foes
For they were too strong for me
They attacked me when I was weak
But the Lord came and strengthened me
He lifted me out of their midst
And He brought me to a peaceful place
He rescued me because He delights in me

The Lord dealt with me according to my righteousness

So that my feet will never slip
I chased my enemies and took them down
And I didn’t stop till I had won
I finished them so they could not rise
And they fell down at my feet
For You have armed me with strength
And subdued my foes under me
Those who tried to destroy me and hated me
Are silent now, You’ve given me the victory
They cried for help, but there was none to save
To the Lord, but He ignored their plea
Then I beat them as fine as the dust
I cast them out like dirt in the streets
You’ve delivered me from their hate
And You’ve made me king of all the land
Now my enemies fear me
They come trembling out of their palaces in holy fear
Yahweh is alive
Blessed be my rock
May the God of my salvation be exalted
The God who gave me vengeance
And subdued my foes under me
Who delivered me from my enemies
He raised me above those who hated me
And He rescued me from violent men
For all this, I will praise You, o Lord, among the nations
And I will sing to Your name
Great victory He gives to His king

Con oscuridad bajo sus pies
Él cabalgaba sobre un querubín
Y volaba sobre las alas del viento
Su manto era oscuridad y nubes de tormenta en los cielos
Desde el resplandor delante de Él
Granizo y brasas de fuego retumbaron desde las nubes
Yahvé hizo oír su voz desde los cielos

Con solo un soplo de sus fosas nasales
Con su reprensión me llamó

Porque eran demasiado fuertes para mí
Me atacaron cuando estaba débil
Pero el Señor vino y me fortaleció
Me sacó de en medio de ellos

Ahora están en silencio, me has dado la victoria
Clamaron por ayuda, pero no hubo quien los salvara
Al Señor, pero Él ignoró su súplica
Entonces los golpeé como el polvo
Los arrojé como suciedad en las calles
Me has librado de su odio
Y me has hecho rey de toda la tierra
Ahora mis enemigos me temen
Salen temblando de sus palacios con santo temor

Bendito sea mi roca
Que el Dios de mi salvación sea exaltado
El Dios que me dio venganza

Quien me libró de mis enemigos
Me elevó por encima de los que me odiaban
Y me rescató de hombres violentos
Por todo esto, te alabaré, oh Señor, entre las naciones
Y cantaré a tu nombre
Gran victoria da a su rey
