Entonces seré salvado de mis enemigosThen I will be saved from my enemies

Los lazos de la muerte me rodearonThe cords of death were wrapped around me
Las inundaciones de impiedad me atemorizaronThe floods of ungodliness made me afraid
Los dolores del infierno me rodearonThe sorrows of hell surrounded me
Y fui burlado por las fauces de la muerteAnd I was taunted by the jaws of death
Y en mi angustia, clamé a YahvéAnd in my anguish, I called on Yahweh
Mi grito llegó ante ÉlMy cry came before Him
A su temploInto His temple
Y cuando mi grito llegó a sus oídosAnd when my cry came to His ears

Entonces la tierra tembló y se estremecióThen the earth shook and trembled
Y los cimientos de las montañas temblaron porque Él estaba enojadoAnd the foundations of the mountains quaked because He was angry
Humo subió de sus fosas nasalesSmoke rose from His nostrils
Fuego devorador salió de su bocaDevouring fire came from His mouth
Las brasas se encendieron con elloCoals were kindled by it
Él rasgó los cielos y descendióHe ripped open the skies and came down
Con oscuridad bajo sus piesWith darkness under His feet
Él cabalgaba sobre un querubínHe was riding on a cherub
Y volaba sobre las alas del vientoAnd He flew upon the wings of the wind

Su manto era oscuridad y nubes de tormenta en los cielosHis covering was darkness and storm clouds of the skies

Yahvé hizo oír su voz desde los cielosYahweh thundered His voice from the heavens

Y los derrotó con relámpagosAnd He routed them with lightning bolts
Y se vieron los cauces del marAnd the channels of the sea were seen
Los cimientos de la tierra quedaron al descubiertoThe foundations of the earth laid bare
Con solo un soplo de sus fosas nasalesWith just a blast of His nostrils
Con su reprensión me llamóAt His rebuke He sent for me
Me sacó de muchas aguasHe drew me out of many waters

Yahvé me rescató de mis enemigosYahweh rescued me from my foes
Porque eran demasiado fuertes para míFor they were too strong for me
Me atacaron cuando estaba débilThey attacked me when I was weak
Pero el Señor vino y me fortalecióBut the Lord came and strengthened me
Me sacó de en medio de ellosHe lifted me out of their midst
Y me llevó a un lugar de pazAnd He brought me to a peaceful place

Y no me he apartado maliciosamente de mi DiosAnd I have not wickedly departed from my God
He mantenido su ley delante de míI’ve kept His law right before me
Y no he desechado sus estatutosAnd His statutes I have not put away
He permanecido en un estado irreprochable delante de ÉlI’ve remained in a blameless state before Him
El Señor me ha recompensado según mi rectitudThe Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness

Porque salvas al humilde de corazónFor You save the humble in heart
Pero te enfrentas al orgullosoBut You set Yourself against the proud
Eres tú quien enciende mi lámparaIt’s You who lights my lamp

Para que mis pies nunca resbalenSo that my feet will never slip

Perseguí a mis enemigos y los derribéI chased my enemies and took them down
Y no me detuve hasta haber ganadoAnd I didn’t stop till I had won
Los terminé para que no pudieran levantarseI finished them so they could not rise
Y cayeron a mis piesAnd they fell down at my feet

Porque tú me has armado con fuerzaFor You have armed me with strength
Y has sometido a mis enemigos bajo míAnd subdued my foes under me
Aquellos que intentaron destruirme y me odiaronThose who tried to destroy me and hated me
Ahora están en silencio, me has dado la victoriaAre silent now, You’ve given me the victory

Clamaron por ayuda, pero no hubo quien los salvaraThey cried for help, but there was none to save
Al Señor, pero Él ignoró su súplicaTo the Lord, but He ignored their plea
Entonces los golpeé como el polvoThen I beat them as fine as the dust
Los arrojé como suciedad en las callesI cast them out like dirt in the streets
Me has librado de su odioYou’ve delivered me from their hate
Y me has hecho rey de toda la tierraAnd You’ve made me king of all the land
Ahora mis enemigos me temenNow my enemies fear me
Salen temblando de sus palacios con santo temorThey come trembling out of their palaces in holy fear

Yahvé está vivoYahweh is alive
Bendito sea mi rocaBlessed be my rock

Y sometió a mis enemigos bajo míAnd subdued my foes under me

Me elevó por encima de los que me odiabanHe raised me above those who hated me
Y me rescató de hombres violentosAnd He rescued me from violent men
Por todo esto, te alabaré, oh Señor, entre las nacionesFor all this, I will praise You, o Lord, among the nations
Y cantaré a tu nombreAnd I will sing to Your name
Gran victoria da a su reyGreat victory He gives to His king
Y muestra amor constanteAnd He shows steadfast love
A sus ungidosTo His anointed ones
A David y a sus descendientesTo David and his descendants
