The Giant

Tiquequê

O Gigante

Era uma vez um gigante
Que gostava de caminhar
Mas a sua passada era tão grande
Que um passo e meio
Era um passeio
Ao topo do pico dos Andes

Era uma vez um gigante
O gigante do passo grande
Que era enorme também no nome
Teotônio Parrudo Garrido Golias Galante
Lacerda Pedroso
Peixoto Cardoso
Carvalho Cabral Cavalcante

Era uma vez um gigante
O gigante do passo grande, do nome enorme
Que tinha a barriga de um elefante
Seu prato daria pra vinte homens
Devorava o almoço
Engolia caroço
E ainda ficava com fome

Era uma vez um gigante
O gigante do passo grande
Do nome enorme, da barriga de elefante
Que quando dormia, roncava um monte
Tão alto, que até parecia ligado em um alto-falante
Tremia o chão
Tremor de trovão
Um ronco nem um pouco elegante

Era uma vez um gigante
O gigante do passo grande

O gigante do passo grande, do nome enorme
Da barriga de elefante, do ronco de alto-falante
Do espirro que dava medo

The Giant

Once upon a time there was a giant
Who liked to walk
But his stride was so big
What a step and a half
It was a walk
To the top of the Andes peak

Once upon a time there was a giant
The giant of the great step
Which was huge in name too
Teotonio Strong-willed Garrido Gallant Goliath
Lacerda Pedroso
Peixoto Cardoso
Cabral Cavalcante Oak

Once upon a time there was a giant
The giant with the big step, with the huge name
That had the belly of an elephant
Your plate would feed twenty men
I devoured lunch
swallowed stone
And I was still hungry

Once upon a time there was a giant
The giant of the great step
From the huge name, from the elephant belly
That when he slept, he snored a lot
So loud, it sounded like it was plugged into a speaker
The ground was shaking
Thunder tremor
A not at all elegant snore

Once upon a time there was a giant
The giant of the great step
From the huge name, from the elephant belly
From the roar of the speaker
Who had such a huge nose
And inside there were goops that wouldn't even fit on one finger
Your sneeze
It was like a shot
Handkerchiefs were scared to death

Once upon a time there was a giant
The giant with the big step, with the huge name
From the belly of an elephant, from the roar of a loudspeaker
From the sneeze that was scary
Achoo
