Through my mailbox, a letter dropped
An invitation to a rock 'n roll hop
Sent to me by a friend of mine
Who lives in a castle with frankenstein
Got to the castle about a quarter to eight
Swam the moat, climbed the gate
I knocked on the door and went in the hall
Where the monsters' union was having a ball
Igor, igor, funny little man
Standing there a-grinning, with a shovel in your hand
Igor, igor, what's your plan?
Going out tonight and dig a rock 'n roll band
The band was great and the floor was wide
Three big cats rocking side by side
Up one side and down the other
Dracula was dancing with frankenstein's mother
The joint was jumping, really moving around
When all of a sudden, I heard a weird sound
Be-bop she-bam and a be-bop she-bee
The purple people eater was eating on me

Standing there a-grinning, with a shovel in your hand

Dinner was served about a quarter to ten
A headless waiter was a-bringing it in
I got a funny feeling in the bottom of my tummy
For sitting on my right was a big, fat mummy
Party was over, it was time to go
Igor turned the lights down low
We all had a ball blowing a gasket
But now it was time to get back to the casket

Durch meinen Briefkasten fiel ein Brief
Eine Einladung zu einem Rock 'n Roll-Hüpfspiel
Gesendet von einem Freund von mir
Der in einem Schloss mit Frankenstein wohnt
Kam um Viertel vor acht zum Schloss
Schwamm durch den Graben, kletterte über den Zaun
Ich klopfte an die Tür und ging in die Halle
Wo die Monstergewerkschaft einen Ball feierte
Igor, Igor, lustiger kleiner Mann
Stehst da grinsend, mit einer Schaufel in der Hand
Igor, Igor, was hast du vor?
Heute Nacht rauszugehen und eine Rock 'n Roll-Band zu graben
Die Band war großartig und die Tanzfläche weit
Drei große Katzen rockten Seite an Seite
Auf der einen Seite und wieder zurück
Dracula tanzte mit Frankensteins Mutter
Die Bude wackelte, es ging richtig ab
Als plötzlich ein seltsames Geräusch ertönte
Be-bop she-bam und ein be-bop she-bee
Der lila Menschenfresser hatte es auf mich abgesehen

Stehst da grinsend, mit einer Schaufel in der Hand

Heute Nacht rauszugehen und eine Rock 'n Roll-Band zu graben
Das Abendessen wurde um Viertel vor zehn serviert
Ein kopfloser Kellner brachte es herein
Ich hatte ein komisches Gefühl im Bauch
Denn neben mir saß eine große, fette Mumie
Die Party war vorbei, es war Zeit zu gehen
Igor dimmte das Licht
Wir hatten alle Spaß und waren ganz aus dem Häuschen
Aber jetzt war es Zeit, zurück zur Gruft zu gehen
