Deadly Temptation
Yesterday you stood proudly on the summit,
Looked down in the deep, you wished you hadn't done it.
The deadly depth was tempting and you failed to resist,
Its greedy hunger witched you, the wind under you whizzed.
Stones began to fall from right under your feet,
Suddenly you slipped and fell into the deep.
Grabbing at the air you headed for the ground,
Life let you go, you were falling hell-bound.
Depth….the hungry beast,
Devoured you with the greatest of ease.
Depth….the merciless yawn,
To which you felt drawn.
The giddy depth, the chasm captivated you,
You thought you were tough but it wasn't true.
You foolishly allowed yourself to be tempted,
The summit was the aim but now you regret it.
You had gone too far to achieve your desire,
Today you are history burning in hell's fire.
While you were falling, dizzy and blind,
Thousands of memories and pictures revived.
Your eyes got tearful and they opened wide,
Because you realised there was nowhere to hide.
You started to think over the things you'd done,
You tried to scream but your throat got numb.
Then sudden darkness and you ceased to be,
Now silence surrounds you and tranquillity.
Tentación Mortal
Ayer te mantenías orgulloso en la cima,
Miraste hacia abajo en lo profundo, deseaste no haberlo hecho.
La profundidad mortal era tentadora y no pudiste resistir,
Su hambre voraz te embrujó, el viento bajo ti silbaba.
Piedras comenzaron a caer justo debajo de tus pies,
De repente resbalaste y caíste en lo profundo.
Agarrándote al aire te dirigiste hacia el suelo,
La vida te soltó, estabas cayendo hacia el infierno.
Profundidad... la bestia hambrienta,
Te devoró con la mayor facilidad.
Profundidad... el bostezo despiadado,
Al que te sentiste atraído.
La vertiginosa profundidad, el abismo te cautivó,
Pensaste que eras fuerte pero no era cierto.
Tontamente te dejaste tentar,
La cima era el objetivo pero ahora lo lamentas.
Habías ido demasiado lejos para lograr tu deseo,
Hoy eres historia ardiendo en el fuego del infierno.
Mientras caías, mareado y ciego,
Miles de recuerdos e imágenes revivieron.
Tus ojos se llenaron de lágrimas y se abrieron de par en par,
Porque te diste cuenta de que no había donde esconderse.
Comenzaste a reflexionar sobre las cosas que habías hecho,
Intentaste gritar pero tu garganta se entumeció.
Luego una oscuridad repentina y dejaste de ser,
Ahora el silencio te rodea y la tranquilidad.
