I had a chance to make amends, She blew me off.
I felt so low. If I only could turn back time I know together we'd grow old.
I said to her 'just one more try... I'll try a promise and make it right.'
She let my heart land oh so low. She heard those words too many times.
But that's the way it's got to be.

Well I admit I made mistakes. She said that's fine.
Yeah that's ok.
I should have known from her distant eyes that she was breaking down inside.

Honestly there's got to be a better resolution.
