School got out on a Thursday,
two weeks for Christmas break,
I needed some time,
took all that I could take,
Got my first tattoo,
she said, "Boy, what am I gonna do with you?"
We're coming to the end of an escapade,
Birthday fights and broken hearts,
and all of the pain,
I left 'em lying somewhere
on 5th and memory lane,
Someday you're gonna change,
You're not the person you used to be,
And somehow friends fade away,
But as for you and me...

So I hit the road,
looking for a better time,
and ended up in Charelston,
with Georgia on my mind,
The site that I saw,
it brought me down to my knees,
gave me a reason,
A reason to believe,
