We were lying in the shade
Surrounded by these flowers in decay
As we counted down the hours in the day
Till the Sun set behind us in a blaze
And the vibrance of the sky began to fade
I was a coward never brave
All the words that I would never say
Because I thought that saying them would make it harder to embrace
That, this wouldn't last, it was just a fleeting moment
We'd enjoy until it passed, till our lives continued flowing
Into separate tributaries that would never meet again
I know life gets really scary, if you ever need a friend

But I def won't forget the day that we were last together
