Vem Cear
Cristo já nos preparou
Um manjar que nos comprou,
E, agora, nos convida a cear:
Com celestial maná
Que de graça deus te dá,
Vem, faminto, tua alma saciar.
''vem cear'', o mestre chama -''vem cear''.
Mesmo hoje tu te podes saciar;
Poucos pães multiplicou,
Água em vinho transformou,
Vem, faminto, a jesus, ''vem cear''.
Eis discípulos a voltar,
Sem os peixes apanhar,
Mas jesus os manda outra vez partir,
Ao tornar à praia, então,
Vêem no fogo peixe e pão,
E jesus, que os convida à ceia vir.
Quem sedento se achar,
Venha a cristo sem tardar,
Pois o vinho sem mistura ele dá;
E também da vida, o pão,
Que nos traz consolação;
Eis que tudo preparado já está.
Breve cristo vai descer,
E a noiva receber
Seu lugar ao lado do senhor jesus;
Quem a fome suportou.
E a sede já passou,
Lá no céu irá cear em santa luz.
Come Dine
Christ has prepared for us
A feast that He bought for us,
And now, He invites us to dine:
With heavenly manna
That God gives for free,
Come, hungry, satisfy your soul.
"Come dine," the Master calls - "come dine."
Even today you can be filled;
He multiplied a few loaves,
Turned water into wine,
Come, hungry, to Jesus, "come dine."
Here are the disciples returning,
Without catching any fish,
But Jesus sends them out once more,
As they return to shore,
They see fish and bread on the fire,
And Jesus invites them to come to the feast.
Whoever is thirsty,
Come to Christ without delay,
For He gives wine without mix;
And also the bread of life,
That brings us comfort;
Everything is already prepared.
Soon Christ will come down,
And receive His bride
To sit beside the Lord Jesus;
Whoever endured hunger,
And thirst has passed,
There in heaven, they will dine in holy light.
