Ich bin zwei Tage im StudiumI'm two days into college
Und ich habe drei Vorlesungen verpasstAnd I'm three lectures behind

Er sagt, er will mein Freund seinHe says he wants to be mine
Aber das fühlt sich für mich nicht ganz richtig anBut it doesn't really sit with me quite right

Und ich schließe mich ständig versehentlich aus meinem Wohnheim ausAnd I keep accidentally locking myself out of my dorm

Ich wache auf, irgendwie aufgedrehtI wake up kinda wired

Aber ich schlafe einfach, wenn ich alt binBut I'll just sleep in when I'm old
Sieh mal, ich mag es nicht, Regeln zu brechenSee, I don't like breaking rules
Aber ich mag es nicht, zu tun, was man mir sagtBut don't like doing as I'm told
Also schweb ich einfach herum und halte den Kopf untenSo, I just float around and keep my head down
Und hoffe, mein Leben entfaltet sichAnd hope my life unfolds

Und alle sagen mir, dass ich so gut abschneideAnd еverybody's telling me that I'm doing so wеll
Ich versuche, ihnen zu vertrauen, ehrlichI try to trust them, honestly
Ich finde es schwer zu sagenI find it hard to tell
Ob ich Arbeit oder Ruhe braucheIf I need work or I need rest
Ich gebe mein Bestes, mein Bestes zu gebenI try my best to try my best
Ich sage mir selbst, ich spreche es laut ausI tell myself, I say out loud
Es ist in Ordnung, ich werde alles herausfindenIt's fine, I'll figure it all out
Ich neige dazu zu vergessenI tend to forget
Ich bin noch ziemlich jungI'm still only quite young
In gewisser Weise hat dieses Leben von mir gerade erst begonnenIn a way, this life of mine has only just begun
