Erntefest

Harvest Feast

Als ich endlich zurück zu meinem Berg kamBy the time I got back to my mountain
War ich ungebeten beim ErntefestWas uninvited from the harvest feast
Zerzaust und müde, so niedergeschlagenTorn up and tired, so dejected
Machte ich mich auf den Weg, um meine Füße zu bewegenHit the road to shuffle my feet

Ist das nicht schadeAin't that a shame
Ist das nicht zum Heulen schadeAin't that a cryin' shame
Ist das nicht schadeAin't that a shame

Als ich zurück zu meinem Zypressenheim kamTime I got back to the cypress home
Warst du nicht mehr in meinem tiefen HainYou were gone no more in my deep grove
