Le Blues de la Prison de Folsom

Folsom Prison Blues

Vers San AntonioOn down to San Anton

Quand j'étais juste un bébéWhen I was just a baby
Ma mère m'a dit : FistonMy mama told me: Son
Sois toujours un bon garçon, ne joue jamais avec des flinguesAlways be a good boy, don't ever play with guns
Mais j'ai tiré sur un homme à RenoBut I shot a man in Reno
Juste pour le voir mourirJust to watch him die
Quand j'entends ce sifflet qui souffleWhen I hear that whistle blowing

Eh bien, je sais que je l'ai bien cherchéWell, I know I had it coming
Je sais que je ne peux pas être libreI know I can't be free
Mais ces gens continuent d'avancerBut those people keep a-movin'
Et c'est ça qui me tortureAnd that's what tortures me

Eh bien, s'ils me libéraient de cette prisonWell if they'd free me from this prison
Si ce train de marchandises était à moiIf that railroad train was mine
I'd move it on a little further down the line
C'est là que je veux resterThat's where I want to stay
Et je laisserais ce sifflet solitaireAnd I'd let that lonesome whistle
Emporter mon blues loinBlow my blues away
