Morning Prayer

Gott, gib mir die Kraft für heuteGod give me the strength today
Ich biete mich dir anI offer myself to thee
Befreie mich aus diesem JochFrom this bondage set me free
Hilf mir, die Natur meiner Fehler zu erkennenHelp me see the nature of my wrongs
In deiner Gnade werde ich stark seinIn your grace I will be strong

Diese alte Welt ist voller Angst und GierThis old world is full of fear and greed
Die Liebe ist die Tür und der Schlüssel verblasstLove it is the door and fades the key
Befreie mich aus diesem JochFrom this bondage set me free
Und ich biete mich dir anAnd I offer myself to thee

Gott, mit dir kann ich ganz seinGod with you I can be whole
Wenn ich die Kontrolle aufgebeIf I surrender my control
Obwohl ich immer noch das Sagen haben willThough I still want to run the show
Versuche ich loszulassenI'm trying to let go

Diese alte Welt ist voller Angst und GierThis old world is full of fear and greed
Die Liebe ist die Tür und der Schlüssel verblasstLove it is the door and fades the key
Nichts ist verdient, noch ist etwas garantiertNothing is deserved nor is guaranteed
Und ich biete mich dir anAnd I offer myself to thee

Für meine Freunde, die leidenFor my friends who suffer
Für meine Mutter, meinen Vater und meinen BruderFor my mother, father and brother
Für eine Welt, die auf den Knien liegtFor a world down on it's knees
Ich bete für dichI pray for thee

Für die Unruhigen und die WildenFor the restless and the wild
Für die Gebrochenen, gezähmt und entweihtFor the broken tamed defiled
Für die von uns, die mehr verlangen als wir brauchenFor those of us who crave more than we need
Ich bete für dichI pray for thee
Und ich biete mich dir anAnd I off myself to thee
