Who Sees Me Singing

Who sees me singing thinks that all the time
Was just joy
And that in this life I never had reasons to cry
Who sees me singing never imagines that I spent dark nights
Thinks that my life was to live happily and just sing

But it wasn't quite like that
I crossed the desert
Feet hurting from the thorns
Many times I shouted
Because I couldn't bear the pain
"God, I will die on this path!"

But when I thought I was alone
The Almighty appeared
Renewed the promises and reminded me of what He did
And words of comfort He said:

((Remember the cloud by day? It was Me!
Remember the pillar of fire? It was Me!
I made water gush from the rock for you to drink!
Remember the manna from heaven? It was Me!
Remember the path through the sea?
Sing, for I am the one who takes care of you!

No one will touch you, no one will stop you!
And if they accuse you, I will defend you!
I bless you here, I bless you there
Where your foot steps, it will be blessed

I give, I take, I exalt, I humble, I abase and honor, give and take
I have, I do, I command, I can, I am, I am!
I can kill! I can make alive!
I can exalt! I can abase!
