Und der Drache gab ihm seine MachtAnd to it the dragon gave his power
Und seinen Thron und große AutoritätAnd his throne and great authority
Eines seiner Köpfe hatte eine tödliche WundeOne of his heads had a mortal wound
Doch schien es eine tödliche Wunde zu haben, die geheilt wurdeBut it seemed to have a mortal wound that was healed
Und die ganze Erde folgte dem Ungeheuer mit StaunenAnd the whole earth followed the beast with wonder
Die Menschen beteten den Drachen an, denn er hatte dem Ungeheuer seine Autorität gegebenMen worshipped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast

Und sie beteten das Ungeheuer an, indem sie sagtenAnd they worshipped the beast saying
"Wer ist wie das Ungeheuer und wer kann gegen das Ungeheuer kämpfen?""Who is like the beast and who can fight against the beast?"
Und dem Ungeheuer wurde ein Mund gegebenAnd the beast was given a mouth
Der hochmütige und lästerliche Worte sprachUttering haughty and blasphemous words
Und es wurde erlaubt, Autorität für zweiundvierzig Monate auszuübenAnd it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months
Es öffnete seinen Mund, um lästerliche Worte gegen Gott auszusprechenIt opened its mouth to utter blasphemous words against God

Es wurde erlaubt, gegen die Heiligen Krieg zu führen und sie zu besiegenIt was allowed to make war on the saints, and to conquer them
Und Autorität wurde ihm über jedes Volk, jede Nation und jede Zunge gegebenAnd authority was given it over every tribe, and people and tongue and nation
Und alle, die auf der Erde wohnen, konnten es vergeblich anbetenAnd all who dwell on earth could worship it in vain
Wenn jemand ein Ohr hat, der höreIf anyone has an ear, let him hear
Wenn jemand gefangen genommen wird, wird er in Gefangenschaft gehenIf anyone is to be taken captive, into captivity he will go

Weder Trauer, noch Weinen, noch Schmerz wird es mehr gebenNeither shall there be mourning, nor crying nor pain anymore

Denn diese Dinge sind vergangenFor these things will have passed-away
Den Durstigen will ich Wasser geben, ohne PreisTo the thirsty I will give water, without price
Aus der Quelle des Wassers des LebensFrom the fountain of the water of life
Wer überwindet, wird dieses Erbe habenHe who conquers shall have this heritage

Aber die Feigen, die Ungläubigen, die UnreinenBut as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted

Ihr Anteil wird im See sein, der mit Feuer und Schwefel brenntTheir lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone
