Hace mucho, mucho tiempo, conocí un reinoLong, long time ago, I knew a kingdom

Así que quiso que se quedara y le construyó una espléndida jaulaSo he wanted her to stay and built a splendid cage for her

Un día un niño estaba frente a la jaulaOne day a child was standing in front of the cage

La niña abrió la jaulaThe girl opened the cage
Pero el ruiseñor estaba demasiado débil para mover sus alasBut the nightingale was to weak to move her wings

Por última vez el ruiseñor vio el solFor one last time the nightingale saw the sun again
