A portion of clay that was on the wheelsUma porção de barro que sobre as rodas estava
And the potter's hands did what they wanted in itE as mãos do oleiro, nela faziam o seu querer
And he formed a vase in his own wayE um vaso do seu jeito ele formava

But after contemplating that sceneMas depois de contemplar aquela cena
The vessel in the potter's hand brokeO vaso na mão do oleiro se quebrou
The potter took the vase even though it was brokenO oleiro tomou o vaso mesmo quebrado
He put it on the wheels, and a new vessel he formedPôs sobre as rodas, e um vaso novo ele formou

Then I heard the voice of GodAí então ouvi a voz de Deus

Like clay in the potter's hand, so are youComo barro na mão do oleiro assim sois vós
